Three open postdoctoral positions in Computational Physics
The successful candidates will
be a key part of a team that is developing and implementing adaptive,
multiscale, high-performance (parallel) computational algorithms for
numerical solutions of chemo-thermo-mechanical PDE’s with emphasis on
complex heterogeneous materials, such as energetic materials,
composites, etc.
Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. in
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Computer
Science, Physics
or related engineering or science discipline 2. Familiarity with numerical analysis, scientific computing, and numerical linear algebra 3. Experience in parallel programming (MPI) 4. Knowledge of numerical methods (finite element methods, multigrid methods, domain decomposition methods, iterative solvers, etc.) and computational nonlinear mechanics ©
